Discarded masks and gloves are a health hazard. Several state and county public health departments have issued advisories against throwing masks and gloves on the streets and parking lots. But that has not stopped New Yorkers from littering the streets with this so-called PPE waste. Gloves outnumber masks, that are relatively in short supply.
